History students from around Ireland will descend on Limerick this Friday for the 50th anniversary conference of the Irish History Students' Association.
The IHSA was founded in Dublin in 1950 by students from Belfast, Dublin and Galway and likes to think of itself as being an early example of a cross-Border association. On Saturday undergraduate and postgraduate history students will give papers ranging from Rediskskev and the role of the Russian Enlightenment to faction-fighting in 19th-century Ireland.
