Course duration: 15 months full-time; one semester in Reims Ecole Superieure, France; one semester on work placement in France; one semester in DCU.

The first hurdle: Good honours degree required for admission; an oral test in French to determine fluency. To study through English, a good standard of French is required. To study through French, a very high standard of French is required. People with industry experience, but without the educational qualifications, may be considered.
Number admitted to the course: 15 Irish students admitted through DCU; 15 French-speaking students admitted through Reims.
Target group: graduates with three years' industry experience or those with a high level of industry experience. Participants have different educational and work backgrounds, as well as coming from different nationalities and cultures. The interaction among participants from diverse cultures and business backgrounds is seen as central to the course.
Aim: to provide a solid foundation in general management concepts and practices relevant to organisations that operate in an international context.
Course content: the first semester includes accounting, marketing management, finance, business organisation theory, organisational behaviour, economics, business policy, business application of maths, production, information technology, computer competence, personal development, and a language class in the students' non-native language. The course is taught in both French and English.
The second semester comprises a one-month intensive preparation for work placement at Reims, followed by a placement of no less than four months in a managerial-level position in an international environment.
The third semester includes core modules and one optional module. Modules include strategic management, international HRM, international finance, international marketing and international law. Students must also complete a dissertation relating to some international aspect of the programme. Ideally, this would be linked to the work placement.

What's new? This year, students, who register through DCU, can study and take their exams through English.
Job prospects for graduates: excellent to date; all graduates placed in "prestigious" posts.
