Children throughout Co Kildare will be encouraged to walk home with a friend or in a small group following an initiative by Kildare National Parents Council (Primary).

In order to heighten awareness about the safety of children within the community, a poster campaign will be launched on Thursday. The Kildare committee is very concerned at the number of attempted abductions that have occurred in the county.
