GET buzzing this year with the Co Dublin Beekeepers' Association introduction to bee keeping which begins on February 11th at 8 p.m. (registration at 7.30 p.m.) and runs for four Tuesdays. The course is designed for people with no previous knowledge of bee keeping. It covers all aspects of practical bee keeping, from starting with a stock of bees, to looking after the bees for the season, to collecting the honey crop. AN INTRODUCTION to local history under the title, People and Places, will begin at the Manno Institute of Education in Dublin on February 5th. SEPTEMBER 1997 is the final year in which the Combat Poverty Agency will part fund places on the certificate in voluntary sector management at Dublin City University Business School. The course is aimed at those in all types of voluntary organisations and it covers a variety of topics including strategic planning, human resources management, organisational behaviour and financial management. The course runs over full Fridays and half days on Saturdays each week for two 12 week modules.
