We didn't have a Mean GirlsAmerican set up in my class. I don't remember any nerdy types getting grief when I was a teenager. I was a good student, often teachers pet. But at the same time, I was regularly the one in trouble for having too much craic at the back of the class. So I suppose I was a little from column A and a little from column B.

Give us an extract of a school report.

Caroline is an enthusiastic student who always participates in class. Her handwriting is a disgrace.

Who was your favourite teacher in primary school? Miss Heaslip. She was an amazing all-rounder. She treated us like little ladies rather than children so we were proud of our achievements and strove to do well. She instilled a passion for learning in me - she made it fun.

Anyone who you inspired you in secondary school?

Ms Doyle, our English teacher, was like Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society. She really cared about the class and set about encouraging us in every aspect of our lives. I distinctly remember one introverted girl who blossomed as a result of her support and praise. If we were disinterested and tired when she walked into the class, Ms Doyle would have us up doing breathing exercises to get the oxygen in. She was fantastic!

Did you have a nickname?

Carolina Franchetti

What was the first music album you bought?

A-ha, Stay on these Roads.

What's on your iPod now?

Isn't that question a fraction presumptuous? Supposing I don't have an iPod? Okay, I do. Amy Winehouse is my current number one.

What posters did you have on your bedroom wall?

My bedroom wall was spray-painted graffiti style. My artist friend Richeal drew a five-metre mural of all the gang we hung around with.

Who was your first crush?

Morten Harket, lead singer of A-ha. And a really cute guy from the tennis club

Who would play you in a movie of your younger days?

Someone cheeky.

What did you study in college?

Communication studies in DCU

Regrets? Have you had a few?

I'm annoyed with myself that I didn't study several languages when I was younger. I studied German in school but never use it. I wish I'd learned French, Spanish and Italian. They wouldn't have been a waste of my time (unlike trigonometry).
