TWO LIMERICK brothers charged with threatening to kill a mother and her son and daughter have been remanded in custody for another week.
Wayne Dundon (33), with addresses at Lenihan Avenue, Limerick, and also in the UK, is charged with threatening to kill a man at an address on Hyde Road, Limerick, on September 30th last.
His younger brother, John Dundon (29), of Hyde Road, Limerick, is charged with threatening to kill two women, a mother and daughter, at an address on Hyde Road on April 3rd-4th last.
Both men were due to appear before Limerick District Court via video link yesterday but because of difficulties with the televised system their cases were adjourned.
Defence counsel Shane O’Callaghan asked that John Dundon appear in court next week when a bail application will be made.
Wayne Dundon was refused bail when he appeared before Limerick District Court last week.
The bail application for John Dundon ended abruptly after he shouted at the judge and some gardaí.
Mr O’Callaghan requested a media blackout in respect of naming certain individuals close to both men as he said they had received threats since the last court appearance.
Judge O’Donnell acceded to the request, and remanded John Dundon in custody to Cloverhill Prison until Wednesday.
Wayne Dundon was remanded in custody to Portlaoise Prison, and is due to appear before Limerick District Court via video link on the same day next week.
