A Dundalk man was yesterday charged with the murder of a woman civil servant in the North five years ago.
Mr Philip Quigley (23), of St Nicholas Avenue, Dundalk, was extradited on Thursday, after a Supreme Court hearing in Dublin. He appeared at Banbridge magistrate's court, Co Down.
The body of Ms Rose-Marie Moran (32), from Newry, was found with stab wounds at her isolated bungalow in the Cooley Mountains on August 22nd 1991.
Mr Quigley was remanded in custody until January 15th.
