Traffic in Dublin yesterday was "no worse than normal for a winter, school-going day", according to AA Roadwatch. This followed a day of severe disruption due to a fault in the traffic lights system on Monday.
Most of the lights in the city centre were working again yesterday morning, according to Mr Trevor Keegan of the AA, with the exception of pedestrian traffic lights in O'Connell Street.
They were still faulty, changing immediately anyone touched the button, which caused delays. However, all faults were expected to be rectified by the evening.
