Gardai investigating the disappearance of a Dublin film producer, Mr Robert Walpole, have confirmed that £200 was withdrawn from his bank account shortly after he was last seen on Thursday evening. The money was withdrawn at an ATM in the Temple Bar area at 6.07 p.m.

Mr Walpole (34), who produced the hit Irish movie I Went Down, has not been seen since he left his office in the same area at 6 p.m.

Concern grew when he failed to keep a number of appointments. He also failed to board a flight to London on Friday morning to meet his business partner, film director Paddy Bhreathnach.

He was reported missing to gardai on Friday evening by his girlfriend.
