More than 350,000 people are expected to travel through Dublin Airport over the August bank holiday weekend, a 3 per cent increase on the same period last year.
Over 2,400 flights will arrive and depart during this time, including 240 charter flights, which have been added to the normal schedule, the Dublin Airport Authority said.
Passengers are advised to check-in at least 90 minutes before their flight and to allow a further 30 minutes if using one of the long-term car parks.
The authority also announced that passenger numbers at the airport exceeded 11.3 million for the first six months of the year, a 5 per cent increase on the same period last year.
More than 500,000 additional passengers travelled through the airport during the first six months of the year, equating to an average of almost 3,000 extra passengers every day in 2008.
