The family of murdered French woman Sophie Toscan du Plantier is taking High Court action against the man they believe to be responsible for her death.

The family is seeking High Court damages against the man.

Ms Toscan du Plantier's badly mutilated body was found lying in a ditch near her holiday home, at a remote location outside Schull, on December 23rd, 1996.

No one has ever been charged with her murder. Her husband, French film producer Daniel Toscan du Plantier, died of a heart attack earlier this month.
