Bedroom boffin Matt Elliot (right) must have some strange tortured dreams, if the twisted soundscape of Third Eye Foundation is anything to go by. If you're listening for the sound of violence or looking for a name for your pain, then Elliot has it all stored on disc and set to a discombobulated drum'n'bass beat. You definitely can't dance to it, but you can listen to it - provided you're not alone with the lights out. Albums such as Ghost and You Guys Kill Me deal in pure, techno fear, using dislocated screams and disembodied beats to create a disturbing, nightmarish effect. So, if you like that sort of thing, then head up to Whelan's on Wexford Street tonight and enjoy the full Third Eye Foundation experience, right in your face. At least you won't be on your own.
