About 25 people, including two police officers, were wounded in Bangladesh today in an explosion near a court building where lawyers were marching as part of a strike.

Police and local reporters covering the strike said the explosion occurred at a police checkpoint near the building in Gazipur, 30 kilometres (20 miles) north of the capital Dhaka.

The court complex was the same place where six people died and 50 were wounded in a suicide bombing on Tuesday.
