Police divers have suspended their search for the bodies of three generations of the Greene family after this morning returning to the wreckage of their sunken fishing boat off the Co Down coast.

Poor weather conditions near Kilkeel and the need for specialist underwater search equipment brought a halt to the proposed search this morning.

The search will begin again when the specialist equipment arrives next week, a Police spokesman said.

Michael Greene (54), his son (33) and grandson (10) who were also called Michael Green went missing after they failed to return from a fishing trip off the Co Down coast last month.
