Dissident republicans tonight threatened more firebomb attacks in Northern Ireland.
The grim warning came after police discovered a home-made firebomb in Dungannon, Co Tyrone - days after a similar device was discovered in Keady, Co Armagh.
Chief Superintendent Eddie Graham said the group involved in the two incidents wanted to wreck the peace process.
"They want to see the colour of blood. If it's a security force member, that would be wonderful. If it was a bystander that would just be too bad.
"Quite clearly it could have been a bystander."
The bomb, which was left by the Continuity IRA outside the Tesco supermarket, was defused after it was discovered in a wheelie-bin.
It consisted of a domestic gas cylinder, a detonating device and flammable liquid.
Chieg Supt Graham said the attack showed that dissident republicans continued to pose a very real threat to the community.
"There was no warning given in this occasion and indeed 8am is a time that sees schoolchildren and other people going to their work or normal business so it posed a real danger."
