A man has appeared in court in Derry charged with raping a teenage girl in the city.
Mr Joseph Patrick McIntyre (22), of Great James Street was released on bail by Derry Magistrates Court pending a further court appearance.
The court heard that in reply to the charge, the accused said: "That is lies there".
The attack on the 16-year-old girl happened in a flat in the Bogside area of the city early yesterday morning.

The girl was later picked up by a taxi driver at about 4.30 a.m. and taken to an address in the Kylemore Park area.
