A judge has accepted it would be unjust to expect the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) to wait another two years for the determination of alleged debts by a Waterford night club.
Mr Paul Miller of Cheers Nite Club, O'Connell Street, Waterford, had asked the Circuit Civil Court to consolidate a district court claim of almost £4,000 for music royalties with a circuit court claim which will not be heard until 1998.
Mr Ronan Dolan, counsel for IMRO, told Judge James Carroll the circuit court claim related to Mr Paul Miller and Mr Brendan Miller, nominees of Ned Kelly's Glenrowan Tavern, Ballybricken, Waterford. The alleged debts went back as far as 1992.
