Gardaí investigating the death of a man in the grounds of the Mater Hospital in Dublin last night do not believe the death was suspicious.
The body of a male was found in the back of a car outside the entrance to the casualty department shortly after midnight.
It is understood a man drove the car to the hospital and entered the casualty department seeking help. He then returned to the car.
A second person subsequently alerted hospital staff, who found a man dead in a car outside the building.

It is understood gardaí have established the identity of the body but have not released his details.
The scene was preserved for examination and a post mortem was due to begin at 2.30 p.m. The cause of death is not yet known.
