France's South African-born Test prop Pieter De Villiers today denied he took drugs despite allegedly testing positive for cocaine and ecstasy last month.

"I don't do drugs," he told a press conference arranged to answer allegations from French sports daily L'Equipethat he had failed a test on December 18th.

The 30-year-old Stade Francais player said that a few days before he had gone out socialising in Paris with friends after returning from a European Challenge match against Wasps in London.

"I drank some beers, I didn't feel well, I vomited and I had a headache, but I didn't take drugs," said De Villiers.
