The Royal Ballet returns to Belfast's Grand Opera House for six performances only with a company headed by Darcey Bussell and Jonathon Cope (both pictured right), Deborah Bull, Miyako Yoshida, and Carlos Acosta. Under the umbrella title `Masquerade', they will perform five ballets, all choreographed by members of the company, past and present. The title work, by Michael Corder to Stravinsky's Pulcinella Suite is a classical evocation of a harlequinade, Pavane. William Tuckett's tribute to traditional Celtic mouth music and Remanso is a powerful and romantic demonstration of masculinity by three soloists, which was a recent hit at the Royal Opera House. The programme's climax is the debut of Matthew Hart's Acheron's Dream, which will not be seen in London until the end of June.
