Daft Media, owner of the property website Daft.ie, today announced the acquisition of competing website Property.ie for an undisclosed sum.
Property.ie was originally launched ten years ago and is one of Ireland's oldest property websites.
Since the acquisition, the site has undergone an extensive redesign. It also lists property for sale from over 90 per cent of Irish estate agents, according to Daft.
Daft Media will continue to run Property.ie in parallel to Daft.ie, and the company says it will be investing significantly in driving traffic to Property.ie over the next 12 months.
Daft.ie currently has three times the number of visitors as the number two player in the Irish property portal sector. This is confirmed by the latest audited report from ABCe (April 2008), which shows traffic of 75 million page impressions and 974,595 unique users per month.
