The Czech Republic will extradite suspected IRA member Mr Michael Dickson to Germany on charges relating to an attack on a British army base there in 1996, it emerged today.
The Czech authorities said the decision by justice minister Mr Pavel Rychetsky's to extradite Mr Dickson is final but added it was not clear yet when the extradition would take place.
Czech police arrested Mr Dickson (38) on an international warrant in December and has since held him in custody.
He has denied all charges and said he came to Prague as a tourist before police put him in jail.
German police accuse Mr Dickson of taking part in a grenade attack at the British army base in northwest German town of Osnabrueck, its largest military compound oversees. No one was hurt in the attack.
The German authorities have long said they were ready to try Mr Dickson once he was extradited there but no trial date has been set.
Earlier this month a Prague appeals court confirmed a lower court decision that Mr Dickson's extradition would be legal.
