Glen Crowe is in danger of missing the upcoming Euro 2004 qualifiers after limping from the field during Bohemian's league defeat at St Patrick's Athletic last night.

The Republic of Ireland striker, last season's top scorer in the league, went down heavily under a challenge from St Pat's French defender, Karim El Khebir, and appeared to injure his left knee. He was immediately helped from the pitch to receive medical treatment.

It is feared the injury could be a reoccurrence of the knee problem that forced Crowe, who has two international caps to his name, to miss the title run-in last season.

Ireland manager Brian Kerr was in the stands at Richmond Park and must wait on the results of a scan this morning before learning if Crowe is fit to join the rest of the 23-man squad at the Nuremore Hotel in Co Monaghan later this evening.

Ireland face Albania at Lansdowne Road on June 7th before facing the Georgians at the same venue four days later.

Kerr's side are currently bottom of the Group 10 table, level on points with Georgia, but with recent results going their way, still harbour realistic hopes of qualifying for Portugal.
