Major delays on M50 as cement truck overturns

Dublin Fire Brigade warns the road is slippy due to fuel leaks after the incident

Lengthy delays are expected on the M50 this afternoon after a truck overturned.

Emergency services were called about 12.45pm and driver was taken to hospital. His condition is not yet known.

Gardaí said a cement lorry overturned at Junction nine on the Naas Road inbound at the Red Cow interchange.

They said the south bound slip road was blocked and delays should be expected.

Dublin Fire Brigade said the road was slippy as the truck has leaked fuel and hydraulic fluid.

Diversions are in place as crews work to clean-up the scene.
