Seminar on Zambrano case implications
Dublin Institute of Technology will host a seminar, "Reflections on the Zambrano decision of the Court of Justice – its impact on Constitutional Law, European Union Law and Immigration Law in Ireland", on Thursday from 6-7.30pm at Aungier St, Dublin 2.

Law doctorate scholarship at UCD
The University College Dublin Institute of Criminology, in the School of Law, is offering a doctoral scholarship funded by the Fitzpatrick Family Foundation, in the area of criminology/criminal justice /penology, available for four years to students, starting in September 2011.
In addition to fees, there is an annual stipend of €16,000 (plus a €500 conference allowance).
The scholarship is open to Irish, European Union and international applicants.

Annual Griffith College lecture
Mr Justice Frank Clarke will deliver the annual Griffith College public lecture, "The Convention on Human Rights in Ireland Past, Present and Future", on Wednesday evening.
Registration is at 6pm. Refreshments will be served. Mr Justice Clarke is judge-in-residence at Griffith College.

Collective redress action forum
The Irish Society for European Law will hold a forum on the European Commission's consultation on a "European approach to collective redress actions" on April 12th at 6.30pm in the offices of Arthur Cox, Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin.
Chaired by Mr Justice Frank Clarke, the speakers include Filip Kubik, directorate-general competition, at the commission; Brian O'Moore SC and Belinda Hollway of law firm Freshfields.
The event is free to society members, and costs €20 for non-members.
