A sixth man appeared in court yesterday charged in connection with a Garda investigation into alleged robberies of Chinese students in Dublin. Mr Sun Zhi (18), with an address at Kenilworth Road, Rathmines, was charged with assaulting a man at an apartment in The Cobbles, Temple Bar, on April 25th.
Det Sgt Michael Cryan objected to bail for Mr Zhi because it was alleged he had attempted to interfere with the injured party in the case by warning him to drop the charge.
Judge Miriam Malone refused bail and remanded him to appear in Cloverhill District Court on May 17th.
