The Special Criminal Court has delayed its ruling on the admissibility of evidence in the case of Mr Colm Murphy, the only man charged in connection with the Omagh bomb, until tomorrow.
The court was expected to give its decision this afternoon on the admissibility issue, which concerns the issuing of a search warrant, the arrest, detention and interviewing of Mr Murphy by gardaí in February 1999.
Mr Murphy (49), a building contractor and publican, has pleaded not guilty to conspiring in Dundalk with another person not before the court to cause an explosion in the State or elsewhere between August 13th and 16th 1998.
The father of four is a native of Co Armagh with an address at Jordan's Corner, Ravensdale, Co Louth.
The prosecution alleges Mr Murphy "lent aid" to the people who planted the Omagh bomb.
On application by the defence, the court prohibited media reporting of the evidence in the "trial within a trial" which concluded yesterday after six days of legal argument.
