The English couple who died in a fire at their home in Achonry, Co Sligo, on Tuesday night were named yesterday as Frank and Celia Bailey, writes Marese McDonagh.
Garda forensic experts continued their examination of the scene, but because the house was totally destroyed it is expected to take some time before the cause of the fire is established.
The Baileys had retired to Achonry less than a year ago, having renovated the bungalow. Their bodies have been removed to Manorhamilton Hospital in Co Leitrim for post-mortem examination.
