THE sibling pop quartet, whose debut album Forgiven Not Forgotten has sold in the region of 700,000 copies, starts a 14 date Irish tour on Friday. The tour kicks off in the West County Hotel in Ennis, moving to the Graigue Cullen Hall in Carlow on Saturday night and taking in Leisureland in Galway (May 5th) and the Stadium in Dublin (May 11th).

The Corrs, who hail from Drogheda have a distinctive sound that mixes west coast American rock influences with traditional Irish sounding airs. Their latest single The Right Time is currently dominating the air waves, and they recently made a guest appearance on Beverly Hills 90210. They last played Ireland in the Point in November when they supported Celine Dion on her European tour.

They have also shared stages with Cindy Lauper, Harry Connick Jnr, and Bruce Hornsby.

Forgiven Not Forgotten, which sold 40,000 copies in Japan, has achieved double platinum status in Ireland. Lead singer, Andrea Corr has a small part in Evita (as Peron's mistress)? which started filming in February and stars Madonna in the title role.
