Beef Wellington, steak and kidney pie, sherry trifle, fish pie and hot pot are just some familiar dishes that are set to become extinct over the next 15 years, according to Tesco.

The supermarket chain found the top 10 "culinary dodos" after interviewing 1,000 UK adults about dishes they cooked from scratch at home. Any recipe which was prepared by less than 25 per cent of the population falls into the list of dishes threatened with extinction.
