Paris - French train traffic was upset for the fifth day in a row yesterday after conductors extended their strike in pursuit of higher staffing levels.
TGV trains serving northern and western France and extending to London, Brussels and Amsterdam were running normally but the high speed service to the south was erratic, the SNCF railway said.
More than half the TGV trains to and from Paris were running but service between provincial cities was cut by as much as two thirds.
