Paris - It could be a year and a half before it is known what caused Concorde to crash, investigators said last night.
The inquiry commission set up by the French government to examine the disaster warned it was at the start of a "difficult" investigation. Although certain things are known - such as at least one wheel exploding and at least one engine shutting down - it will take a long time to pull all the strands together, the commission warned.
Talks being held by Anglo-French aviation experts in Paris are continuing on Concorde safety.
