Ms Marilyn Rynn (40), who lived alone in Blanchardstown, worked in the Department of the Environment, and yesterday was the first day that most of her colleagues were back since the Christmas break. Supt Michael Carty of Cabra, heading the investigation, appealed to anyone who may have seen her get off the No 38 bus around 1 p.m. on Friday, December 22nd.

She is 5 ft, 5 in, with short brown hair and is believed to be wearing a dark green overcoat, black shirt and red blouse.

She had been out with friends the night before and was last seen catching a midday bus near her home, but she did not arrive at work that afternoon.

Meanwhile, a post-mortem examination was carried out yesterday on Ms Denise Boyers (25), whose body was discovered on Dollymount Strand on Saturday. She was from Portmarnock, Co Dublin.
