The Football Association (FA) said today they would not be taking any disciplinary action against Arsenal's Ashley Cole for his part in the dismissal of Birmingham's Aliou Cisse at the weekend.
Cisse was sent off for a second yellow card on Sunday, awarded for a challenge that left Cole on the floor, apparently injured.
The England defender came in for criticism after the game with former Leeds boss David O'Leary, now working as a television pundit, accusing Cole of play-acting.
Yesterday referee Mike Riley requested Cisse's second booking - and therefore the red-card - be rescinded after television replays showed that contact was minimal.
