Arsenal defender Ashley Cole was banned for two games Tuesday by the Football Association (FA) for swearing at referee Paul Durkin after a match in November.
England international Cole, 21, confronted Durkin after Premiership champions and current leaders Arsenal's 3-2 defeat at Southampton on November 23rd.
Cole's ban takes immediate effect, meaning the full-back will miss Sunday's Premiership match against West Ham at Highbury and the FA Cup fourth round tie against non-league Farnborough.
