THE Irish Bridge Union's all Ireland simultaneous pairs tournament may be arranged by clubs or groups of clubs for November 4th or 5th. Some 24 hands will be pre dealt, not fixed. Clubs proposing to take part should, without delay, notify Ian Lindsay (0801 232 329481).
The all Ireland schools pairs championship will be held in Ard Scoil Ris on the Ennis Road, Limerick, on December 7th (10.30 a.m.). As the final will be limited to 72 pairs, qualifying heats will be organised at various centres in November.

Both the Donegal and the Kenmare congress will take place on November 8th-10th. Donegal details: venues, Abbey and Central Hotels; three pairs championships - major, intermediate A, and B/junior on Friday (8.15 p.m.) and Saturday afternoon; major and intermediate teams on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon; mixed pairs on Sunday night; open pairs throughout.
