Former US president Mr Bill Clinton arrived at Government buildings this evening for a meeting with the Taoiseach ahead of the annual Independent Lecture at Trinity College.
Mr Clinton is expected to receive a fee of £100,000 for the presentation.

The hour-long visit follows an earlier engagement with the President, Mrs McAleese this morning at Áras an Úachtaráin where Mr Clinton posed for the cameras.
In Dublin for two days of engagements and private meetings Mr Clinton said today he intended to have a continuing role in the Northern Ireland peace process.
Tomorrow the Taoiseach and Senator George Mitchell will host a dinner in Dublin Castle to raise funds for the Northern Ireland Fund for Reconciliation.
Yesterday Mr Clinton played 36 holes of golf with former Tánaiste Mr Dick Spring at the Ballybunion Golf Club in Kerry before staying overnight at Dromoland Castle in Co Clare.
He is expected to visit Belfast, Enniskillen and Derry on Wednesday and Thursday this week before travelling to England.
