The death of a man whose body was recovered from the River Fergus in Ennis yesterday afteroon, was not suspicious, gardai said last night.
Although the identity of the remains have not been confirmed, it is believed to be a Polish father of one who vanished while swimming last week.
Przemyslaw Jablonski, who worked as a chef in the town, got into difficulty when he went in to the swollen river on Wednesday.
The body was recovered yesterday afternoon a few hundred metres from where the man was last seen alive.
The remains were taken to hospital where a post mortem will be carried out to determine an exact cause of death.
