Belgrade - The leadership of the Serbian Orthodox church yesterday called for early elections in Serbia and reiterated that Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic should go. The bishops also called on Serbian President Milan Milutinovic to step down, in a statement issued by the Holy Synod, the church's top body. The synod did not take an official stand about the church's possible participation in an anti-Milosevic rally scheduled on August 19th in Belgrade.
