Wednesday, April 27th: 1994 A farmer's car is stolen near Eyrecourt, Co Galway, by a man matching the description of Brendan O'Donnell
Thursday, April 28th: The farmer's car is found abandoned at the side of a road near Scarriff, Co Clare
Friday, April 29th: Imelda Riney and her son disappear from their home at Whitegate, a few miles from Scarriff
Saturday, April 30th: Imelda Riney's car is discovered by a forestry worker at Copponagh, burned out and without number plates
Sunday, May 1st: Imelda Riney and her son are reported missing by her estranged husband, Mr Val Ballance
Monday, May 2nd: Gardai circulate descriptions of Ms Riney and her son to all Garda stations
Tuesday, May 3rd: Shortly before midnight, Father Joe Walsh is last seen leaving a friend's house outside Eyrecourt
Wednesday, May 4th: Gardai and Mr Ballance make a public appeal for help in finding Imelda Riney and her son. Gardai confirm the burned out car at Copponagh belongs to Ms Riney
Thursday, May 5th: Gardai step up the search and call in the Air Corps and maritime search aircraft
Friday, May 6th: Father Walsh's car is found in the early hours of the morning, burned out on the shores of Lough Derg gardai announce they want to question Brendan O'Donnell as a possible witness to Ms Riney's disappearance
Saturday, May 7th: Brendan O'Donnell is arrested between Woodford and Whitegate after a three hour chase during which he abducts Fiona Sampson and Edward Cleary the body of Father Walsh is found in Cregg forest, near Whitegate
Sunday, May 8th: The bodies of Imelda Riney and her son are found about 150 metres from where Father Walsh's body was located.
