Scottish champions Celtic battled back from a goal down to beat 10-man VfB Stuttgart 3-1 in tonight's UEFA Cup fourth round first leg clash at Parkhead.
The German side - who had Marcelo Bordon sent off for a professional foul on Stilian Petrov - went ahead thanks to Kevin Kuranyi's headed opener on 27 minutes.
But losing Bordon after only 19 minutes ultimately proved their undoing as Celtic produced a composed performance in utilising their extra man advantage.
Scotland midfielder Paul Lambert equalised with a blistering drive on 36 minutes before Shaun Maloney took advantage of some slipshod defending to put the home side 2-1 ahead on the stroke of half-time.
Celtic dominated the second period against a tiring Stuttgart side - third in the Bundesliga - and Petrov squeezed home an excellent third goal on 68 minutes.
The winners of the tie will face either Liverpool or French side Auxerre in the quarter-finals.
