A Co Dublin midwife's challenge to a Nursing Board decision to hold inquiries into complaints made against her was adjourned by the High Court yesterday and is to resume on a date yet to be fixed. The hearing opened on Thursday.
Ms Ann O Ceallaigh, who assists in home births, claimed the board proposed to inquire into allegations made against her by medical and nursing executives at the Rotunda and Holles Street Hospitals. A self-employed midwife, of Temple Crescent, Blackrock, Dublin, Ms O Ceallaigh is asking the High Court to review the board's decision to have its Fitness to Practise Committee inquire into four complaints against her.
