Paris - A court has thrown out a request for Ffr 9 million ($1.6 million) in damages from a French woman who said her life was a misery because she shared the same name as a family of grotesque cartoon characters. Ms Francoise Bidochon sought damages from Christian Binet, author of the highly popular Bidochon Family cartoon strip.
The court dismissed the case, saying there was no direct parallel between the real and fictional Bidochons.
