A Co Derry mother was killed after leaving her three children off at school outside Draperstown, the Magistrates' Court was told yesterday in Magherafelt. Margaret Donnelly (55), a domestic worker from Glengomna Lane, Drapers town, was fined £150 for driving carelessly.
The court heard that Mrs Martina McKenna was returning home from the school on April 13th this year when Donnelly's car struck her vehicle from behind. Mrs McKenna's car was pushed into the opposite carriageway, where it collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
