More than 200 European delegates will attend a “carbon neutral” conference this week in which Catholic theologians will consider Christian responsibility for the environment.
This is the first time that the biennial conference, which is being organised by the International Congress of the European Society for Catholic Theology, is being held outside mainland Europe.
Hosted by Mary Immaculate College in Limerick, the conference will also mark the installation of the Rev Prof Eamonn Conway as president of the society.
