The Minister for Justice, Mr O'Donoghue, will come under pressure in the Dail today to launch a full investigation into the Philip Sheedy affair.
The Fine Gael TD, Mr Charles Flanagan, will ask the Minister what steps he proposed to take to address "the failure to investigate all the circumstances" surrounding the controversy.
Mr Flanagan said last night he was asking the priority question of the Minister because all the facts should be made public. "Any person responsible for wrongdoing should be made accountable for their actions."
Mr Flanagan said the matter had come back into the spotlight with the controversy over the appointment of the former Supreme Court judge, Mr Hugh O'Flaherty, as vice-president of the European Investment Bank.
