Two Dublin brothers accused of murdering a father of six are due to go on trial at the Central Criminal Court on Thursday.

Two Dublin brothers accused of murdering a father of six are due to go on trial at the Central Criminal Court on Thursday.

Warren and Jeffrey Dumbrell, of Emmet Place in Inchicore, have both pleaded not guilty to the murder of Christopher Cawley (36) in October 2006.

Mr Cawley was fatally stabbed on the stairway of the flat complex where he lived at Tyrone Place in Inchicore.

The brothers, aged 36 and 30, and both wearing white shirts and black blazers, appeared briefly in the court today, where they pleaded not guilty to the murder.

A jury of six men and six women was then sworn in for the trial, which is expected to take up to three weeks.
