A Co Meath footballer has pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Mr Barry Callaghan, Boyerstown, Navan, and his brother Keith, were charged at Navan District Court following an incident in which they allegedly assaulted Mr Brendan Johnson on Trimgate Street, Navan, last July 7th. The men entered into personal bail bonds of £500 when they were returned for trial at Trim Circuit Court on October 20th.
