THE major pairs championship of the Northern Ireland Bridge Union's autumn congress, held in the Causeway Coast Conference Centre, Portrush, was won by E. and M. Andrew. Runners up were B. McDowell, and T.E. Andrew. The team championship went to R. O'Keeffe, J. Carroll, C. Burns, and H. Dowling Long. Second came M. O'Kane, Dr S.G. McComb, M. and G. Mackenzie.

The Dublin South Region is organising a club tournament directors' course to be run over six weeks, starting at 7.30 p.m. on September 25th in the VEC College, Emmet Road, Inchicore. Details: S.
