The All-Ireland bridge pairs championship (Moylan Cup), played over three sessions at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel, Athlone, was won by P. O Briain, and T. Roche. Runners-up were A.T.R. Anderson and I. Lindsay. Third came Dr G.M. Keaveney and R. Timlin.

The three national events to be decided at the new Templeogue Community Bridge Centre, Dublin, on April 24th to 25th are the major (Kelburne Cup), intermediate A (Bankers' Trophy), and intermediate B (Tierney Trophy) team championship finals.
